Spiritual Mothers of Priests: Global witness, first report.

I will give more details of what people are actually doing as soon as possible, but for now here is the picture up to date.

Spiritual Mothers, and their friends are represented in the following countries:

In the USA:

Connecticut (in three dioceses)
Florida (Miami)
Hawaii (Honolulu)
Indiana
Kentucky
Massachusetts
New Jersey
Ohio
Oklahoma
Washington DC

(This means we're a fifth of the way to having known interest and/or commitment in every State. Congratulations and God bless America!)

Canada:

Ottawa

Spain:

* Temporary and returning to Canada in a year's time

United Kingdom:

3 spiritual 'sisters' in the Archdiocese of Birmingham
1 spiritual sister in another unknown diocese.

I think this is very encouraging after a mere week. Please network all your contacts at home and abroad. I've contacted a dear blogging friend in South Africa today. Australia tomorrow.

Thank you for all your comments and emails. More here tomorrow DV and another meditation for the chaplet when I can.

In union of prayer for Our Lord's beloved priests and His chief shepherd Benedict XVI

  1. Jane, I know St. Stephen's parish in Paterson, NJ started a Spiritual Moms apostolate at the parish level.

  2. D.C. stands for District of Columbia - not a state at all, but a federal district established for administrative puproses. Hope that helps.

This is a wonderful resource! I will be adding a link to you on my Links for the Year of the Priest page.

  4. Hi Jane,
Just wanted to let you know about what a friend and I are doing here Down Under. After reading the booklet from the Congregation of the Clergy: Adoration, Reparation, Spiritual Motherhood it inspired us to start a blog in honour of this devotion. We will be posting on the stories from the booklet, we will have an Adoration list, prayers, Patrons, ideas for craft for mother's to inspire their children to pray for priests and much more.
How blessed we are to have the Church guide us to this devotion. Let's hope our prayers can be as fruitful as the Mother's from the Italian village of Lu, Page 18 of the booklet.
    God Bless
Happy feast day tomorrow St John Marie Vianney pray for us!
